There are other titles for the position of CEO including president or executive director. The responsibilities of the CEO may vary from one company to another depending on its size; however this person is the leader of the executive management team and reports to the board of directors.
In smaller companies the CEO will have a much more hands-on role compared to larger companies, where corporate and strategic decisions must be taken, while other tasks are delegated to managers and departments.
