Mentoring programs are designed to maximize employees’ potential and help them with decision making, promotions, goal setting and career direction. Mentors are effective communicators and listen well to others.They are experts in a field, industry or at a company and typically act as an internal advisor.
Workplace mentoring is the process of experienced employees helping out new workers. A mentor may coach, but a coach does not mentor.
