Retirement is the period of an employee’s life during which he/she chooses to leave his or her work permanently. The standard age for public and private retirement varies from country to country, although individuals choose to retire earlier or later due to personal or financial reasons. Whatsoever, this point in time marks the beginning of the next chapter of an employee’s life; he/she may leave work completely, start a second career or work part-time.
After retirement a person’s needs are usually covered through retirement resources such as Social Security, a pension plan, retirement account, etc.
