Tasks:
- Managing the Tax & Accounting team with four direct reports
- Responsibility for the Treasury department and payments
- Responsibility for the monthly and yearly closing
- Reconciling suspense accounts
- Checking/Entering/Settling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Managing national and international outgoing and incoming invoicing
- Filing taxes returns (VAT, SAFT, Personal income tax and Levies) as well as ensuring tax compliance
- Reporting to regulators: ERSE, REN, Energy Ministry
- Assisting in internal and external audits
- Driving forward reports, improvements and automation including managing and improving the IT systems (for example Navision)
Profile:
- Diploma in Business Studies
- Work experience as Chartered accountant (Portuguese TOC) and/or as Accounting and BackOffice Specialist
- Experience in the B2C business and massive transactional business models (power, gas, insurance, banking or telecommunication)
- 8-10 years of experience in a finance department, thereof three as Head of Administration
- Good command of Advanced Excel and SQL basics;
- Good self-management, interpersonal and communication skills
