Have you got…?

You are probably familiar with the question, “Do you have…?” which indicates possession of something (time, family, a job, etc.) however, there is also another option you can use that is more colloquial, in British English than American English, but can be used anywhere.

“Have you got…?” uses have as an auxiliary verb and got to define possession. You can only use this expression in the PRESENT TENSE.

Make sure you pay attention to the noun you use.

· If it’s an uncountable noun you should use ANY before the noun.

· If it’s a countable noun make sure you use the article “a” or “an” in the singular form and “any” in the plural form.
